Obi Ndefo, the actor known for playing Bodie Wells on Dawson’s Creek, has passed away at 51. His sister, Nkem Ndefo, shared the news on Facebook, expressing heartbreak and noting that he is finally at peace. No details about his cause of death have been revealed yet.

Ndefo was also a yoga instructor and had appeared on several TV shows, including Star Trek: Voyager, NYPD Blue, and NCIS: Los Angeles. He was well-known for his role on Dawson’s Creek, which aired from 1998 to 2002.

Mary-Margaret Humes, who played his on-screen mother, posted a tribute on Instagram, calling him a “bright shining light” and praising his courage in facing recent challenges.

In 2019, Ndefo lost his legs in a tragic hit-and-run accident while loading groceries. He spoke about his experience with the Los Angeles Times, reflecting on how he chose to view the accident as an opportunity rather than just a tragedy.
