A Kansas City Chiefs player was taken to the hospital after a medical emergency during practice.

ESPN’s Adam Teicher reported on June 6 that practice was postponed due to the incident.

The player, later identified as backup defensive lineman BJ Thompson, had a seizure and went into cardiac arrest during a meeting but is now in stable condition.

The medical team acted quickly to help him.

Chiefs fans are anxious but hopeful for his recovery.

Parade reports that despite the scare, the team remains focused on the upcoming season, aiming for another Super Bowl win.
