Cameroon’s Football Federation is surprised by the Sports Ministry’s decision to appoint Marc Brys as the new coach of the national team, the Indomitable Lions.

The federation expressed astonishment at the unilateral decision, indicating they were unaware of the appointment.

They intend to investigate the matter and provide further clarification.

Former football star Samuel Eto’o, who heads the federation, is under investigation for alleged misconduct.

Brys, alongside assistants Mununga and Xilouris, will lead the team, replacing former coach Rigobert Song.

Song’s contract ended in February after leading Cameroon in the 2022 World Cup and the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
