Wizz Air’s new “all you can fly” subscription is sparking mixed reactions. For €499 a year, travelers can book unlimited flights, which sounds great to some. They can fly to destinations like the Maldives, and Wizz Air says the deal has been a hit.
However, not everyone is thrilled. Critics point out some catches: flights must be booked up to three days in advance, there’s a €10 fee per flight, and the subscription doesn’t cover extra luggage. Plus, it’s limited to just 10,000 people, and seats depend on availability.
Travel expert Simon Calder thinks the deal might work well for frequent flyers who visit family often. But he warns that extra fees and booking limitations might mean you won’t save as much as you hope.
Some customers have had bad experiences with Wizz Air’s service, such as delays and cancellations, and worry this new scheme could worsen their problems. For example, one passenger had issues with a canceled flight and another with a lengthy delay that cost extra money.
While some see the subscription as a great value, others are skeptical, and Wizz Air’s past performance hasn’t helped reassure them. Overall, it’s a good deal for some, but might not be worth it for everyone. (BBC)
