Aanvi Kamdar, a 27-year-old popular travel influencer, tragically died after falling 300 feet into a gorge while filming a video at the Kumbhe waterfall in India on July 16.

According to Parade, Kamdar, who was an accountant, was with seven friends when she lost her footing on slippery rocks. Rescuers had to rappel down the valley to bring her up on a stretcher.

Although she was responsive immediately after the six-hour rescue operation, she later passed away at Mangaon Taluka Government Hospital.

Kamdar had over 300,000 Instagram followers and was known for her travel, luxury finds, and café recommendations. Despite some criticism for risking her life for content, many defended her, stating it was a tragic accident that could happen to anyone.

As reported by Parade, food influencer Shreya Sanghvi described Kamdar as an extremely responsible traveler, and recipe creator Vidhi Doshi remembered her as an exceptional human being.

This incident follows the recent death of fitness influencer Giorgi “Tzane” Janelidze, who died after falling from a balcony in Italy.

Kamdar’s untimely death has deeply affected her followers and friends, highlighting the risks influencers sometimes face in their line of work .
