TikTok is addressing a cyber-attack that hit brands and celebrities, including Paris Hilton and CNN, the BBC reports.
Only a small number of accounts were affected. TikTok is working to restore access for those users. Paris Hilton’s account was targeted but not compromised.
CNN’s account was hacked, and TikTok is helping them regain control and strengthen security.
The attack comes amid concerns over TikTok’s data security and its possible US ban unless sold by its Chinese owner.
Both Donald Trump and Joe Biden are using TikTok to campaign, with Trump gaining more followers.
