Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is set to begin his third term in office after winning re-election with nearly 90% of the vote.

He will be sworn in on Tuesday at the new parliament buildings near Cairo.

Since taking office in 2014, Sisi has overseen major infrastructure projects but faced criticism for economic challenges and human rights abuses.

His new term is expected to be his last under Egypt’s constitution.
