Billionaire Elon Musk promised on Saturday that he would give $1 million each day until the November election to someone who signs his online petition supporting the U.S. Constitution.

According to Reuters, Musk started this by giving the first $1 million check to a man named John Dreher at an event in Pennsylvania. The Tesla founder handed over the check, telling Dreher he had no idea he would win.

Reuters explains that this giveaway is part of Musk’s effort to support Donald Trump in his race against Kamala Harris.

Musk has founded a political group called America PAC to help mobilize voters for Trump, especially in key states. This is another example of Musk using his huge wealth to influence politics, according to Reuters.

At the event in Pennsylvania, Musk warned that if Harris wins, it could be the “last election,” hinting that the U.S. would no longer be the same.

Reuters shared that Musk also pointed to two assassination attempts against Trump, saying these attempts show that Trump is disrupting the system, while Harris is not facing the same danger because, as Musk said, “Assassinating a puppet is worthless.”

According to Reuters, Musk’s petition supports the First and Second Amendments, protecting free speech and the right to bear arms.

People who attend Musk’s events are required to sign the petition, which will help the American PAC gather more contacts and encourage voters to support Trump.

has already given $75 million to this PAC, making it a major part of Trump’s campaign. Reuters also highlights that Trump has promised to make Musk a leader of a government efficiency group if he wins the election.
