Ghana’s Economy Reaches GH¢1.17 Trillion in 2024, GSS Reports

Ghana’s economy grew to GH¢1.17 trillion (about $76.37 billion) in 2024, according to the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS). MyJoyOnline reports that this includes GH¢1.098 trillion from oil and other sectors, plus GH¢77.80 billion from taxes.
The Services sector was the largest part of the economy, contributing GH¢515.85 billion, followed by Industry (GH¢338.8 billion) and Agriculture (GH¢243.74 billion). The economy grew by 5.7% in 2024, up from 3.1% in 2023.
