Ghanaian chef Failatu Abdul-Razak tried to set a new world record for the longest cooking marathon, cooking non-stop for over 227 hours.

However, Guinness World Records (GWR) didn’t recognize her achievement due to a violation of the rest break rules.

This means her attempt fell short of meeting the strict guidelines set by GWR. Despite this setback, Abdul-Razak’s effort was praised by GWR for her tremendous dedication.

The news, reported by BBC, sparked widespread excitement in Ghana, with politicians, celebrities, and even the military showing their support for Abdul-Razak.

Despite not achieving the record, she thanked her supporters for their unwavering encouragement throughout her journey.
