Former South African President Jacob Zuma’s car got hit by a drunk driver, but luckily he wasn’t hurt.

The crash happened in his home province, KwaZulu-Natal. Zuma, who’s campaigning for his party, believes he was targeted. The driver was arrested for being drunk and driving recklessly.

It’s suggested by a party member that the crash might have been intentional, not an accident. Zuma served as president until 2018 due to corruption allegations.

Despite his protection team, the crash happened. Also, Zuma’s been barred from running in the upcoming election.

The news, reported by BBC, indicates a growing tension as the election nears, with potential implications for the ANC’s performance.
