TikTok and Temu Remove Dangerous Cheap Heaters After Safety Concerns

TikTok and Temu have taken down inexpensive electric heaters from their online stores following findings by Which? that they could cause explosions or house fires.

The consumer group tested eight heaters, most of which didn’t meet UK safety standards. Despite their removal, similar products have surfaced again.

Influencers on TikTok have been promoting these heaters, raising concerns about their safety.

Both companies emphasized customer safety but faced criticism for not doing enough to prevent unsafe products from being sold.

Which? called for stricter regulations on online marketplaces to ensure consumer safety.
