The NBA draft is happening this week, and fans are excited to see where LeBron James’ son, Bronny, will be picked. The draft starts on Wednesday, June 26, with the second round on Thursday, June 27.

Some believe the Los Angeles Lakers might pick Bronny so he can play with his father, LeBron, in what could be LeBron’s final year.

Bronny, 19, just finished his first year of college basketball at USC, averaging 4.8 points and 2.1 assists per game. Unlike his father, who is 6’9″ and the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, Bronny is 6’1″ and known for his defensive skills.

Bronny had a health scare last July with a cardiac arrest but was cleared to play again in November. This brings extra attention due to his father’s fame, as Bronny has 7.7 million Instagram followers.

LeBron has said he wants to play his final year with his son, and this could influence his decision about his Lakers contract. The Lakers have the 17th and 55th picks in the draft, and Bronny has also worked out with the Phoenix Suns.

Other teams interested in Bronny include the Dallas Mavericks, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Toronto Raptors, each with varying draft picks.

The draft will also see top prospects like Zaccharie Risacher and Alexandre Sarr from France. British player Quinn Ellis is also in the top 100 draft projections.

The draft starts on June 26 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, with the second round on June 27 at ESPN’s Seaport District Studios in New York.
