Ukraine’s President Zelenskiy is asking for more help from the U.S. against Russia, but there’s a debate in Congress. Some Republicans want to link aid to Ukraine with stricter rules on immigration.

Democrats are concerned about potential changes to asylum rules. President Biden wants Congress to decide quickly, and there’s pressure because Congress is about to take a break.

If they don’t agree, it could affect Ukraine’s fight against Russia. Democrats are also pushing for security aid for Ukraine and funds for Israel.
