Trump Stands by His Story About a Nerve-Wracking Helicopter Ride, Despite Dispute
Donald Trump is sticking to his story about a scary helicopter ride with former San Francisco mayor Willie Brown, even though Mr. Brown says it never happened.
Trump described the ride as a tense experience, claiming they made an emergency landing and that Brown had shared negative comments about Kamala Harris.
However, Willie Brown has flatly denied ever being on a helicopter with Trump, calling the story “fiction.” He also denied making any critical remarks about Harris. Despite this, Trump has defended his account and even hinted at legal action against Brown.
Interestingly, another California politician, Nate Holden, has confirmed he did take a rough helicopter ride with Trump years ago, suggesting Trump’s story might be based on that experience instead. Holden recalled a turbulent flight in the 1990s, which had to make an emergency landing.
Trump’s claim came up recently during a news conference where he was discussing Brown’s past relationship with Kamala Harris.
While Trump’s account of the helicopter incident is disputed, he continues to insist it’s true, adding to the drama of his campaign.
This controversy comes as recent polls show Trump trailing behind Harris in key battleground states, adding pressure on his campaign.
The BBC provides coverage of this ongoing story, highlighting the unusual turn of events and the debates surrounding Trump’s claims.
