Trump has paid a $175 million bond in his New York civil fraud case to avoid having his assets seized by the state.

Originally ordered to pay $464 million, an appeals court allowed him to pay the smaller sum within 10 days. Trump denies any wrongdoing, claiming the case is politically motivated. His lawyer stated that Trump looks forward to appealing the verdict.

If Trump loses the appeal, he’ll need to pay the full $464 million. This payment spares him the embarrassment of losing properties like Trump Tower and Mar-a-Lago, at least for now.

The case, brought by the New York Attorney General, accuses Trump of inflating property values to secure favorable loans.

The court ruled against him, barring him from running a business in New York for three years and restricting his ability to get loans.

Despite his claims of significant wealth, Trump faced financial pressure, highlighted by his need for a bond.

The appeals court also suspended certain restrictions while considering Trump’s challenge to the ruling.

However, Trump faces multiple legal battles, including a criminal trial and charges related to his attempts to overturn the 2020 election.
