Elon Musk’s live interview with Donald Trump hit technical snags, leading to delays and access issues that Musk blamed on a cyber attack.

The interview, meant to engage undecided voters, started over 40 minutes late due to a supposed Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack, which floods a website with too much traffic.

Musk used the platform to back Trump’s campaign, urging moderate voters to support him. The technical problems were a setback, echoing issues seen in other high-profile live events.

Musk, who owns the platform X (formerly Twitter), reported that the system had been tested with 8 million concurrent listeners but only about 1 million tuned in during the live session.

The glitchy start reminded people of a similar issue with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ campaign launch on X.

As Trump tries to revive his campaign, the Harris camp criticized both Musk and Trump, calling them out for being out of touch and failing to manage a livestream.

Despite the tech troubles, the conversation touched on various issues including Trump’s policies and his criticism of Biden.
