Season 16, Episode 2 Recap: Plane Jane Wins Talent Show and Secures Immunity on ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’
In an unexpected twist, no queen was eliminated in the second episode of Season 16. The episode featured a talent show, with Plane Jane emerging as the winner with her “Burger Finger” performance and a Russian princess-to-Boston hooker reveal.
The unique Rate-A-Queen twist had the queens themselves ranking each other, and Plane Jane strategically voted to give herself an advantage.
With her victory, Plane Jane not only secured immunity for a future week but also triumphed in a lip sync against Geneva Karr.
The Rate-A-Queen twist, specific to the first two episodes, added a new dynamic to judging. While all 14 queens remain in the competition after two episodes, the normal judging process will resume in Episode 3.
