Her close friend, Loni Love, confirmed the sad news on Instagram on July 29, saying Erica was talented and hilarious, always giving her best in her work.
Erica’s mother, Diann Ash, shared that Erica passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones.
She described Erica as an amazing woman and entertainer who touched many lives with her humor and zest for life.
In Erica’s memory, her family asked for donations to the Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation or the Breast Cancer Foundation.
