Russia and the U.S. will hold another meeting within the next two weeks to discuss ending the war in Ukraine and improving their strained relationship, according to Reuters.

The first meeting took place last week, focusing on rebuilding ties and finding ways to stop the nearly three-year-long conflict.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said the next meeting will happen in a neutral country, but the exact location and participants are still being decided.

Ryabkov told Reuters that both sides have agreed to address issues causing tension between them. He mentioned two main topics: the war in Ukraine and the overall relationship between Russia and the U.S.

He also said discussions on arms control and Middle East issues could happen if the U.S. shows positive changes in its policies.

The Kremlin called the first meeting a “very important step” toward resolving the Ukraine crisis. It also hinted that Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S.

President Donald Trump might meet face-to-face this month. Both leaders have expressed interest in such a meeting.

Reuters highlights that these talks are part of ongoing efforts to ease tensions and find common ground between the two countries, despite their deep disagreements.

The outcome of these discussions could have a significant impact on global stability, especially regarding the Ukraine war and international security.
