California Rep. Eric Swalwell has expressed strong support for Vice President Kamala Harris to take over from Joe Biden as the Democratic presidential nominee.
Swalwell praised Harris, noting that she learned from the best mentor in Biden and has the skills and toughness needed to face former President Donald Trump, according to CNN.
In other news, several governors have praised Biden after he announced he won’t run for reelection. North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper called Biden one of the greatest Presidents, while Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker highlighted Biden’s impressive career and warned of threats from Trump.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro also praised Biden’s contributions, and Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear acknowledged the difficulty of Biden’s decision but supported it.
Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers emphasized that Biden’s choice doesn’t change the importance of the upcoming election, with Trump posing a significant risk, as reported by CNN.
