Rapper A$AP Rocky says his new album is delayed because of leaks and problems with getting permissions for using samples. The album, titled Don’t Be Dumb, was supposed to come out at the end of August, but that’s no longer happening.
Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, explained on social media that he wants to make the best album possible and is sorry for the wait. It’s been six years since his last album, Testing, was released in 2018. Despite this, he has been active with performances and tours.
His new album was rumored to feature artists like J. Cole, Busta Rhymes, and his partner Rihanna. The issue of leaks is not new for Rocky; he mentioned in an interview that it has often disrupted his music projects. He also talked about the challenges of getting permissions for using copyrighted music, which can be complicated and time-consuming.
A$AP Rocky, known for hits like Wild for the Night and A$AP Forever, has had a successful career but also faced controversies, including a recent court case over a shooting incident.
