Prince William is stepping up to attend key events as the royal family scales back due to the UK election campaign.

With some engagements canceled to avoid distractions during the election, William will represent the royals at significant ceremonies, including the 80th anniversary of D-Day in Normandy.

King Charles and Queen Camilla will attend a separate event at the British Normandy Memorial. Kate Middleton, undergoing chemotherapy, will not join William in France.

The royal family is adjusting its schedule, with Charles resuming duties and Kate focusing on her health.
