The ex-NBA player was driving back from a friend’s place in Los Angeles when the crash happened.
Lamar Odom can’t use his white Mercedes for some time due to a recent accident. The ex-pro basketball player was driving near his home in Los Angeles, California, in the early morning.
The crash occurred when Odom accidentally dropped his phone in the car, and as he reached for it, he lost control of the vehicle. He ended up hitting a parked car, which then hit the one in front of it, according to a statement and pictures from TMZ.
The safety airbags came out, and thankfully, Odom wasn’t hurt, though he seemed a bit startled. His Mercedes got damaged and had to be taken away by a tow truck. One of Odom’s security team members drove him back home.
Odom was supposedly heading back from a friend’s place in Northridge when the accident occurred last week, around 3 a.m. on Monday, September 11.
The police came and asked Odom if he had been drinking. He said he was sober and mentioned he runs rehab centers. They didn’t do a sobriety test. Nobody was in the cars Odom hit.
Later, the owners came out and Odom shared his details with them. After the police left, Odom went back home.
