Eyewitnesses have shared their experiences of seeing a passenger plane crash in São Paulo, Brazil, where all 61 people on board tragically lost their lives. Felipe Magalhaes, who lives in Vinhedo, said he heard the plane falling and looked out his window just in time to see it crash. Overcome with fear, he ran out of his house to find the crash site, jumping over a wall in his panic.

Another witness, Nathalie Cicari, was having lunch when she heard a loud noise that sounded like a drone, but much louder. When she stepped out onto her balcony, she saw the plane spinning out of control. Realizing it wasn’t a normal movement, she was terrified as the plane crashed. Although her house filled with thick black smoke, she was unharmed but had to evacuate.

Pietro, another local, described seeing people breaking into a nearby condominium to record videos of the wreckage. He mentioned that the only part of the plane left was the cabin.

At Cascavel Airport in Paraná, where the plane took off, a few passengers who missed the flight shared their thoughts.

Adriano Assis explained that he arrived at the airport and struggled to get information about boarding. After arguing with a staff member who eventually refused to let him board, he realized that decision saved his life.

Another passenger, Jose Felipe, tried to board the Voepass flight after finding out his original Latam flight was unavailable.

Despite his efforts to get on the plane, he was told he had missed the boarding time. Reflecting on the situation, he said he felt overwhelmed, his legs shaking from the realization of how close he came to being on the doomed flight.

These accounts provide a human perspective on the tragedy, highlighting how fate played a role in the lives of those who narrowly avoided the crash.
