Controversy surrounds Bobi, the dog hailed as the world’s oldest by Guinness World Records, as doubts arise about his age.

The Portuguese canine, claimed to be 31, passed away in October, but some veterinarians question the evidence supporting this record.

The Guinness World Records, acknowledging suspicions and inconsistencies in Bobi’s registration data and photos, has temporarily suspended the title and initiated an investigation.

Bobi’s owner attributes the skepticism to the dog’s unconventional diet, differing from typical pet food, which may have triggered backlash from the veterinary community.

This development challenges the previous record held by Australia’s Bluey, who lived to 29 years old. (Source: BBC)
