Zimbabwean opposition figure and former finance minister Tendai Biti has been fined $300 and given a suspended jail term for verbally attacking a Russian businesswoman.

He allegedly shouted at her and made threatening gestures during a 2020 incident.

Biti denied the accusations, claiming the charge was invalid.

His legal team plans to appeal the verdict.

This case underscores the importance of respectful conduct in public interactions and the consequences of aggressive behavior.
