Lou Dobbs, the well-known TV news anchor and political commentator, has died at 78. His death was announced on social media on July 18, but the cause was not revealed, according to Parade. The announcement described Dobbs as a “fighter till the very end,” highlighting his commitment to his faith, family, and country.
During his long career, Dobbs worked for CNN from its start in 1980, where he hosted “Moneyline.” He later moved to FOX Business, hosting “Lou Dobbs Tonight” from 2011 to 2021. Both CNN and FOX News praised Dobbs for his role in shaping cable news and his contributions to journalism.
Dobbs’ passing was also noted by former President Donald Trump, who remembered him as a “friend” and a talented journalist with a deep understanding of current events. The statement shared on X, formerly Twitter, requested prayers for Dobbs’ wife, Debi, and their family.
