Former UFC Fighter Geane Herrera Dies in Motorcycle Crash Just Before 34th Birthday

Geane Herrera, a former UFC fighter, died in a motorcycle crash in Tampa, Florida, just days before his 34th birthday. He was 33.

The accident happened on Saturday, May 18, around 10:45 p.m. on Gandy Bridge.

Herrera was riding at a high speed when he hit the back of another vehicle, crashed into a concrete barrier, and was thrown from his motorcycle, which then caught fire.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other driver was unhurt.

Herrera, who fought in the UFC in 2015 and 2016, also competed in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) but retired due to an injury.

His family has started a GoFundMe to support his 16-year-old son, his pregnant partner, and other relatives. They remembered him as a passionate, happy person with big dreams.
