Cher has submitted new legal papers before a hearing to take control of her son Elijah Blue Allman’s finances.
The singer claims her son, 47, is missing during the conservatorship request, citing concerns about his mental health and substance abuse issues.
Cher argues that Elijah, set to inherit money from a trust, is at risk due to his inability to manage finances responsibly.
She also accuses Elijah’s wife, Marieangela King, of trying to prevent him from being aware of the conservatorship hearing.
Elijah, however, asserts he is well and of sound mind. The legal dispute began when Cher filed for conservatorship last year, claiming Elijah’s history of substance abuse makes him unable to express a preference.
Marieangela King, Elijah’s wife, has called the case disturbing, accusing Cher of being consistently undermined in their marriage.
Cher denies the allegations, emphasizing her role as a mother doing what’s best for her child.
