R&B singer Cassie, born Casandra Ventura, has filed a lawsuit accusing music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs of subjecting her to a years-long abusive relationship, including beatings and rape.
The suit, filed in New York federal court, claims Combs initiated the abuse when she was 19 and he was 37, introducing her to a fast-paced and drug-fueled lifestyle. Combs vehemently denies the allegations, calling them lies and part of a $30 million extortion attempt.
Cassie’s lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, states that Combs offered her eight figures to remain silent. The influential hip-hop figure and Cassie had an on-and-off relationship for over a decade.
