India Rescues 250 Citizens from Cambodia Cyber-Scam Operations

The Indian government has saved 250 of its citizens in Cambodia from being forced to engage in online scams.

These individuals were promised employment but were coerced into conducting illegal cyber activities, according to India’s foreign ministry.

This incident sheds light on the alarming trend of human trafficking for fraudulent schemes in Southeast Asia, where victims are often enticed with job offers and then manipulated into committing cybercrimes such as money laundering and romance scams.

The rescue efforts highlight the collaboration between India and Cambodia to combat such criminal activities.
