Kenneth Mitchell, a Canadian actor famous for his role as Kol in Star Trek: Discovery and other notable performances, has passed away at the age of 49.
He battled ALS for over five years before his death on Feb. 24.
Mitchell’s family announced his passing on social media, praising his kindness, humor, and positive attitude in the face of his illness.
Alongside his Star Trek appearances, Mitchell also appeared in movies like Miracle and TV shows like Jericho and Nancy Drew.
He is survived by his wife, two children, and other close family members.
