Opposition MP and Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh granted bail by India’s Supreme Court in a money laundering case linked to Delhi’s alcohol sales policies.

The court noted no illegal funds were found with Singh but dismissed his plea against the Enforcement Directorate’s arrest.

His release follows criticism of government targeting opposition ahead of general elections.

The case alleges AAP leaders took bribes for granting liquor licenses, which the party denies as politically motivated.

BJP denies accusations of using federal agencies for political purposes.
