Morgan Spurlock, famous for the 2004 documentary “Super Size Me,” died at 53 in New York from cancer, his family announced.
Known for eating only McDonald’s for a month in his documentary, Spurlock highlighted the effects of fast food on health, earning an Oscar nomination.
He also created several other documentaries. In 2017, he admitted to past misconduct and stepped down from his production company.
Spurlock is survived by his two sons, parents, and brothers.
