Nissan Leaf owners are upset as the company plans to disable its app for older models due to the shutdown of the UK’s 2G network.

The app allows remote control of functions like heating. While Nissan cites technology changes, owners feel blindsided, especially since 2G isn’t being phased out until later.

This affects around 3,000 pre-2016 Leaf and e-NV200 cars. Owners like Max Siegieda are disappointed, feeling they didn’t have enough time to prepare for alternatives.

This move might impact trust in Nissan for future purchases.
