Marathon world record holder Kelvin Kiptum, along with his coach Gervais Hakizimana, will be laid to rest in Kenya on February 24th after a tragic road accident.

Kenya’s sports ministry will oversee the burial, recognizing Kiptum as a national hero. Parliament paid tribute with a minute’s silence.

Investigations into the accident continue. Kiptum, who broke records in Chicago last year, was praised for his exceptional talent and potential. His coach’s burial plans are pending. 💔
