Israel’s PM Netanyahu asked Elon Musk to help stop anti-Semitism on his X platform while they talked about artificial intelligence.
Prime Minister Netanyahu talked with Elon Musk on his X platform (previously Twitter). They discussed Musk’s disagreement with a Jewish organization called the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). Musk believes the ADL wrongly accused him of anti-Semitism, causing problems for his company. He’s even considering a lawsuit.
The ADL has criticized Musk’s platform for spreading hate speech. They say it got worse after Musk took control.
Netanyahu acknowledged Musk’s support for free speech but also urged him to combat anti-Semitism. Musk emphasized that he’s against attacking any group and wants progress for humanity.
They mainly discussed the possible effects of AI. Netanyahu said we’re at a crucial point where we need to choose wisely.
Musk, who started his own AI company this year, believes it’s important for countries worldwide to agree on rules for AI. This would prevent any disasters that could harm humanity. He compared it to having referees in sports, emphasizing the need for safety.
Musk cautioned Chinese leaders about the potential power of AI. He said that if not handled carefully, AI could end up controlling China instead of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The CCP acted on this concern by implementing regulations.
