The iconic fedora worn by Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom sold for $630,000 (£487,000) at auction in Los Angeles.

The brown felt hat, used in a dramatic scene where Indiana Jones jumps from a crashing plane, was auctioned along with other famous movie props, including items from Star Wars, Harry Potter, and James Bond.

This hat, which was also used by Ford’s stunt-double Dean Ferrandini, had a gold monogrammed “IJ” inside and was made by the Herbert Johnson Hat Company.

The sale price was more than double the amount another Temple of Doom fedora fetched in 2021.

The auction also featured a scout trooper helmet from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, sold for $315,000 (£243,000), and a light-up wand from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, which went for $53,550 (£41,400). A suit worn by Daniel Craig in Skyfall was sold for $35,000 (£27,000).

According to BBC, Propstore’s COO, Brandon Alinger, expressed pride in connecting fans with these historic pieces.
