Police in Atlanta are looking into the death of a 22-year-old Instagram influencer named Beauty Couch, also known as Beauty Katera. There are suspicions of wrongdoing. Beauty Couch had a lot of people following her on Instagram, about 150,000. She was famous for making videos where she danced while roller skating.
The police from Cobb County put up a post on Facebook. They said they’re investigating because the Austell Police asked them to. The post said, “We’re looking into a case of murder.” They explained that on August 23, 2023, around 12:18 in the afternoon, the fire department got a call about a fire near Joe Jerkins Boulevard and Landers Street. When they got there, they found a vehicle on fire. They put out the fire and took the vehicle to a place for wrecked cars.
When the police from Austell got to the place, they found out that the car belonged to one of Beauty Couch’s parents. They said that their daughter used the car most and hadn’t been seen since the day before.
The Austell Police looked around the place where the car was burned and found a body that seemed to be the same as the Instagram person.
Beauty Couch’s mother, Kimberly Couch, talked to WSB-TV and said, “My daughter was a nice girl. She didn’t cause problems for anyone. She was friends with everyone. She enjoyed skating and going to work. She liked her clothes and taking care of her hair to look pretty.”
Kimberly also said, “They took something important from me. They took a piece of my heart. I want them to be held responsible for what they did to my child.”
