During the Nov. 18 episode of The View, Whoopi Goldberg had to step in to calm down a heated argument between co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin.

The discussion became tense as they debated why some people voted for Donald Trump in the 2024 election.

Hostin argued that racism and misogyny still play a big role in politics, pointing to voting statistics, while Farah Griffin agreed more with Bill Maher, who suggested that voters simply want better jobs and lower prices.

As the disagreement got more intense, Goldberg, known for being both opinionated and a mediator on the show, paused the conversation and asked everyone to “take a breath.”

She helped diffuse the tension before the show took a break for commercials, as reported by Parade.

This moment highlights Goldberg’s ability to balance her strong viewpoints with a calm approach when needed, allowing the conversation to move forward smoothly.
