The process is currently underway, and injured passengers will be taken to nearby medical facilities, as stated by Radio Pakistan.

The Pakistani Minister of Railways, Khawaja Saad Rafique, mentioned that the reason behind the train derailment will be established “following a comprehensive inquiry.”

Addressing journalists in Lahore, the minister stated that “appropriate authorities have been instructed to explore all potential avenues.”

The history of Pakistan’s railway system reveals a concerning safety track record, as a series of fatal incidents in recent times starkly underscore the outdated infrastructure and safety norms in the nation.
