South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced a new coalition government following his party’s loss of parliamentary majority in May’s elections.

The ANC will retain 20 out of 32 cabinet positions, with the DA, formerly the main opposition, holding six.

This shift reflects public dissatisfaction with the ANC’s governance on key issues like service delivery and unemployment.

Despite challenges, the coalition aims to prioritize economic growth and social justice, marking a significant change in South Africa’s political landscape.
