Simon Harris has been confirmed as the new leader of Ireland’s Fine Gael party, positioning him to potentially become the country’s youngest prime minister.
Harris, a 37-year-old government minister, was the sole candidate for the party leadership, succeeding Leo Varadkar, who announced his resignation.
