Shein says it found two cases of child labor in its supply chain last year, according to its 2023 sustainability report.

The company temporarily stopped orders from the suppliers involved until they took steps to address the issue.

Shein has tightened its policies to ensure that any future child or forced labor violations will lead to immediate contract termination.

The company discovered these issues during the first nine months of 2023 and found none in the last part of the year.

This comes as Shein prepares for a possible stock market listing, with the company having filed initial documents for a London listing earlier this year.

Criticism of Shein includes concerns over poor working conditions and ties to China. Shein has faced scrutiny from US politicians and advocacy groups, but the company claims it is committed to addressing labor issues and improving conditions, as noted by BBC.
