Robin Roberts and Michael Strahan missed their colleague Dr. Jennifer Ashton’s last day on Good Morning America. Ashton, GMA’s chief medical correspondent, said goodbye on June 27, with Whit Johnson, Rebecca Jarvis, George Stephanopoulos, Ginger Zee, Lara Spencer, and Sam Champion there to see her off.
Roberts and Strahan were absent but appeared in a tribute video for Ashton, calling her a “friend.” Ashton is leaving the network after 13 years, saying her coworkers became like family.
Roberts has been traveling in Portugal, and Strahan has been away possibly due to his daughter Isabella’s chemotherapy treatment for cancer.
