Prince Harry and Meghan Markle spoke out against online bullying in their first joint interview since talking with Oprah in 2021.

According to a report by BBC, the couple is deeply concerned about the dangers of the internet, especially for children.

They discussed their efforts to protect their own kids, Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3, as well as other families from online harm.

Meghan Markle mentioned how they just want to keep their young kids safe. “All you want to do as parents is protect them,” she said, noting the urgent need for change in the online space.

Prince Harry agreed, highlighting that parents now need to be like first responders to spot the signs of online dangers, which can sometimes be as severe as preventing suicide.

They also introduced their new initiative, The Parents Network, through their Archewell Foundation, which aims to support parents dealing with the negative effects of social media on their children.

Additionally, Prince Harry shared why he won’t take his family back to the UK, describing their past experiences with paparazzi as harassment and dangerous.

He expressed concerns about the potential threats they might face from individuals influenced by harmful online content.

The Parade article noted that Prince Harry emphasized the importance of addressing these issues to protect families everywhere.
