Pornhub’s Owner to Pay $1.8M for Alleged Profits from Sex Trafficking

The company behind Pornhub, Aylo, will pay $1.8 million to the US government over accusations of benefiting from sex trafficking.

Officials claim Aylo ignored reports of women coerced into videos on the site. The charges involve content hosting and payments from Girls Do Porn.

Aylo settled with 50 women in 2021 but continued accepting money from Girls Do Porn despite trafficking allegations.

The recent settlement is a deferred prosecution agreement, holding Aylo accountable for three years.

The company states it deeply regrets hosting the content and was unaware of coercion in obtaining consent forms. (Source: BBC )
