Police officer accused of sexually assaulting a woman on duty has case dropped

Liam Porter, 42, from Hampshire Constabulary, was accused of touching a woman without her consent while on duty.

He was suspended from his job during the investigation.

Porter consistently denied the allegation, which was said to have occurred in Clanfield, near Portsmouth, on January 18.

The case against PC Porter was concluded on Sunday at City Nightingale Court after the prosecution decided not to present any evidence.
