Ice cream brands across the nation are being recalled due to a potential health risk from Listeria contamination.
Totally Cool, Inc., based in Owings Mills, Maryland, initiated the recall after detecting Listeria monocytogenes in various ice cream and gelato products.
Brands like Friendly’s, Hershey’s Ice Cream, and Jeni’s Ice Cream Sandwiches are included.
Consumers are advised to return affected products for a refund to avoid possible serious infections, particularly risky for young children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems.
